Ah, sometimes men can be so stubborn, nay, strong willed. God blessed them with this analytical mind and you've gotta give them a logical reason why they should do something and if you fail to do so but get all emotional, may the Lord help you.
So, how do you get your king and lord do the things he needs to do when he is hell bent on going the wrong direction?
1. LEAVE HIM ALONE. What? Yes, let him go right ahead and make that mistake. This is a tough one for wives. Men don't learn from lecture, they learn from experience. If he is hell bent on on investing on the wrong project let him go right ahead and invest. Surely he will suffer for his mistakes, you will also suffer with him but he has logically and practically learnt from his mistakes never to joke with your advice in future.
2. PRAY FOR HIM. This should come first. Don't nag him to death if he is proving stubborn. Ah, isn't your mouth paining you? Rather pray fervently for God Himself to touch his heart. Don't be surprised if he meekly walks up to you the following day acting like a lamb. Prayer works wonders.
3. STAND BY HIM. Regardless of his decisions, learn to stand by your husband. Do not dessert him because he made a silly mistake.
4. DO NOT JUDGE HIM. Oh, it's easy to say "I told you so". He knows. Failing is bad enough. He has learnt his lessons, do not add salt to injury.
5. NEVER RIDICULE HIM. Oh boy, who can take that? Not you either.
6. COVER HIM UP. Don't expose his weaknesses and mistakes to friends and family.
7. ENCOURAGE AND COMFORT HIM. He needs it like hell.
8. IF HE ASKS FOR ADVICE (Lord almighty, I know you've been dieing to give him a piece of your mind), do so with discretion.
9. APPRECIATE HIS EFFORT. You may not believe this, he went ahead with that project because he sincerely believes in it and desperately wants to take care if you. Men take risks for their family.
10. PRAY WITH HIM. A family that prays together, stays together.
Oh, there you go with your newly changed man. Pull off your gloves buddy, you don't need to knock him into shape anymore. He is already shaped!
